WISE EQUINE is the specialty equine division located in Crossfield, Alberta. The practice is fully mobile, offering on-farm services as well as an indoor exam room for haul ins at the clinic in Crossfield. WISE EQUINE also has available a heated barn and indoor arena for haul ins.

A thorough annual dental examination is important to identify and correct malocclusions, sharp points, or periodontal disease before they cause an issue for the horse. We use hand tools and motorized equipment to restore balance between the incisors, molars and temporomandibular joint.
Lameness examinations and flexion tests help diagnose current soundness issues or detect subtle changes affecting performance. Diagnosis may involve diagnostic nerve or joint blocks, digital radiography and ultrasonography.
A thorough examination of the entire horse including a lameness exam with flexions, conformation assessment, heart and lung auscultation, and ophthalmic evaluation. Diagnostic imaging is available at an additional cost.
We offer limited on-farm reproductive services including pregnancy diagnosis and prebreeding examinations.
State-of-the-art digital radiography and ultrasonography are available both in the clinic and out in the field.
Surgeries are performed under injectable anesthesia and include castrations, ophthalmic procedures, umbilical hernia repair and sequestrum removal.
